Book three in the Thicker Than Blood series
Two brothers. A childhood sweetheart.
Life has never been easy for this trio, and especially not after the end of civilization as they knew it. Having had their formative years ripped from them, they were thrust into a shattered, savage world, a world where they only had each other.
Love and loss.
Weary travelers on the brink, there is a storm brewing, a turbulent tempest that has nothing to do with the weather. When tragedy strikes, everything changes in the blink of an eye—façades come undone, and loyalty is pushed to a breaking point.
A diamond in the rough.
Immersed back into something akin to normal society, a safe haven in the midst of misery, our travelers are forced to finally confront their demons—long-kept secrets that have been haunting them for nearly a decade.
Love is never easy.
And love during the end of the world is a hell of a lot more complicated.

As with the other two, this was another that I just couldn’t put down. It was raw, heartbreaking and hopeful all at the same time. Good job ladies!
Another great book

How often do we hear about these exact stories and characters in real life? No matter whether you agree with the actions of the characters or not, this is a gritty tale about love and loss, viciously repeating itself at the end of the world.
I loved the amount of action and the surprise past occurrences that we find out about slowly throughout the tale, little nuggets of information that can switch your perspective in an instant.
The only thing that I was not super convinced about was the narrator. I was in LOVE with the narrator from book 2, however, with this installation I found that the gruffness of the narrator was perfect for Logan but not quite right for Willow. It felt like there was just too much anger all the time, even in moments of relative calmness. Although, saying that, I was still hanging on every word - that is how good the story is.
This is a stand-alone book and can be read independently from the other books in the series. I really hope we will get a new book about the other settlement.
Drags you into the depths of despair...
