When an Italian assassin's body is found floating in a barrel in Victorian London's East End, enquiry agent Cyrus Barker and his assistant Thomas Llewelyn are called in to investigate. Thomas & Ferguson hit the mark again, this time adding a little bit more - but not focused on - personal info about Barker & Llewellen. The way this story ended could be the end of the series but leaves it open and obvious about how Barker regards his trainee.

I liked how the relationship between Barker and Llewelyn is growing. I’m really starting to bond with the characters in the series. Love Anthony Fergusons narration. I could listen to him read the phone book.

I've enjoyed the series 1-5. The narrator is great and does excellent accents from London, other parts of England, Scotland, and Ireland. His French accents are also good. His Italian accents are not as polished - they sound a little like bad vampires rather than Italians. Don't let that disuade you from this installment. Start with the first and run through them all.
