To catch a serial killer stalking paradise they'll risk everything …

Few leads. No witnesses. Detective Logan Ryder is running out of time to stop a serial killer from claiming a fourth woman on Hawaii’s Big Island. Grief counselor Elena Kekona puts her life on the line to help when she discovers she resembles the victims. I guess if you’re an average listener, the book was ok.
But as I was born and raised in Hilo, I had such a hard time with the lack of knowledge of the city (like in the beginning they said she lived on Komohana st “off the grid “. Komohana is kind of a well used street and not off the grid. And he seemed to just throw out street names to make it sound like he knows what he’s talking about.
As I am impressed with the pronunciation of most of the words, it sounded like something out of a school lesson. No real inflection on the words that would make anyone sound local. Really should try and get a narrator from the area and can make it more realistic.
Another thing that bugged me was how he had to describe everyone’s hair (multi-layered, the color, in detail) and really… curtain bangs? How does any of this relate to the story?? Looks like a page filler to me. Yes, these are personal to me… others won’t be bothered by these things as I am.
