The BiG Pink Book is the 7th book for the author, Kimberley Bodenhamer Smith—and it is in Recovery from all the things. Kim was never a good drinker, but in college found pills and her drug of choice was “all the things”. When she decided to get clean, she found AA and NA—but, AA was the easier and softer (“socially acceptable”) way for the divorcing mother of two young boys. “The Big Book” of AA seemed so masculine, old fashioned and patriarchal. Kim dreamt up the dream of needing a modern update to attract the next generation of women into sobriety. After twenty years in the rooms, she finally felt worthy to write this book and there will be more to come on the topic of “Recovery”—It is an “inside job”.

Remember: These are only suggestions and I am not a professional—this is only my experience, my strength and my hope to restoring my dignity and relationship with God, myself and my family and friends. This workbook is a sacred space for you, a woman in recovery, to heal, grow, and shine. Your journey through the Twelve Steps and Traditions is a testament to your strength and worth. Keep showing up, keep sharing, and keep carrying the message to other women. You are a beacon of hope.
