Valerie: I thought waking up on a spaceship was traumatic. That's got nothing on returning to consciousness while shackled in a cell. The kicker? Over my dead body. I'm willing to suffer their abuse if they leave the pretty female alone, but when they hurt her, all bets are off. Now I'm not only finding a way to escape with her, I'm also taking out every last captor before I leave. And then? I'll fill her with as many babies as she wants.

I loved this story one of the best. The couple complimented each other. I cried a few times a great bond between them. I loved it.

We get to meet Sax briefly in book 1 of this series when his brother and mate were kidnapped and Sax helped them escape but at least they knew he was alive at that point! I enjoyed Sax a lot, he was one of my favorite male aliens so far. He had moments of being en eager puppy with his humor and wit but then he had to endure so much while being held captive. I thought this story was fast paced and kept me engaged (I mean I finished it in 24hrs which is quick for me). I liked how strong Val was though, she won me over when her nursing skills took over despite her circumstances and not knowing what the alien would do to her.

I liked the plot with the bad doctors, with the pretending this worked, with bargaining and all the connections/the coup that took place to make this happen. I liked the little hints for the overall storyline that there was more than meets the eye with the history between these races and the potential for loved ones maybe aren't gone. It was gripping and the sexy times were done so well. I like that the steamy parts are the main thing all the time. I appreciated them trying to hold back, let things happen as naturally as possible but was hard with the proximity and treatment. I was so happy to see them get away and reunite with everyone. Made me smile so much the snark these two would pull out as well haha.

Narration was good from both narrators, I enjoyed their performances and thought they did a good job bringing these characters to life. I liked the strength the female narrator brought to the table and how you felt so much emotion throughout their ordeal. The male narrator did bring some levity and vulnerability and I liked his portrayal of this gentle lion. I could feel his protectiveness but soft spot for Val was adorable. Enjoyed this one so much, went right into a couple more of the series back to back to keep my yummy alien fated mate feeling going haha.

While I loved the story, I did have to slow down the speed as the narration was crazy fast.

Love the banter between the characters. Playful and great women coming into their own. If you like men that love their women you will like this book.

After I read the first book, I saw the second book was on the Audible Membership list, so decided to give it a shot. I actually liked this one better than the first book. I will probably continue with the series if I catch it on a sale. The way the author describes the male parts is almost comical, and in both the books there was a point I laughed when the description popped it was just to ridiculous. Also the part where they were getting down and dirty the quote ‘He dove in like an Olympic swimmer’ had me cracking up. Narrators are good, I liked the male better, but both were good.

So this series kind of reminds me of IPB but with Aliens on bikes in a tropical green planet. Cinnamon roll, 7 ft tall blue but scaled aliens with horns and tails but with lots of piercings. No females (taken out by virus or sabotage from another race)

The narration was really great. I enjoy narration by Jeffrey Kafer and the raspy voice of Heather Costa.

The story line was good but the voices was awful. It was like listening to a robot. No drama to the voice nor excitement. Stay away from audible if you’re not going to have an engaging voice to go along with the story line.

Once again, heather and Jeffrey were awesome. I love sassy sax too. And Val is so freaking sweet! I love when she describes what a lioness is and sad pets her hair lol! Very sweet!!
