What did you like best about The Affair? What did you like least?

In comparison to previous books, this was a disappointment. The plot surprises were all obvious and I was cringing along with Candace the whole way.

Has The Affair turned you off from other books in this genre?

I hope that the author goes back to her complex character and plot development in her future books.

Which scene was your favorite?

Can't think of a favorite scene.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Absolutely not.

A dissapointment

I want to like a book that has been published because just by the mirror virtue of it being published, it must have merit. But this audiobook set my teeth on edge and I have to say I hated every single one of the characters. I’ve gotten all the way up to chapter 12 and I can’t read another word. Having the devastating affects alone affair, I am really having trouble relating to the people in this book who are so cavalier with the people they concert with outside of their marriages. I know that some people are going to say I needed to finish it and probably I should but right now, I think all these characters are so self-absorbed and self concerned and… I have to stop my reading of this book. I’m really hoping somebody here is going to tell me there’s redeeming value at the end. Right now I just feel like I’m living my own life in the middle of a book and it doesn’t feel very good.
