THE INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES AND USA TODAY BESTSELLER
Reject the default path, define your priorities, and achieve lasting happiness with this transformative guide to your dream life—a life centered around the five types of wealth.
“A powerful call to action to think deeply about what lights you up—and a guide for how to build a life of meaning and purpose.”—Tim Cook, CEO of Apple
Throughout your life, you’ve been slowly indoctrinated to believe that money is the only type of wealth. In reality, your wealthy life may involve money, but in the end, it will be defined by everything else.
After three years of research, personal experimentation, and thousands of interviews across the globe, Sahil Bloom has created a groundbreaking blueprint to build your life around five types of wealth: Time Wealth, Social Wealth, Mental Wealth, Physical Wealth, and Financial Wealth. A life of true fulfillment engages all five types—working dynamically, in concert across the seasons of your journey.
Through powerful storytelling, science-backed practices, and actionable insights, in The 5 Types of Wealth, you’ll learn:
• How to prioritize energy-creating tasks to unlock more time in your day
• How to create deeper bonds and build a powerful network
• How to engage your purpose to spark continuous growth
• How to maximize health and vitality through three simple principles
• How to achieve financial independence and define your version of “enough”
No matter where you are on your path—a recent graduate, new parent, midlife warrior, retiree, or anything in between—The 5 Types of Wealth will help you act on your priorities to create an instant positive impact in your daily life, make better decisions, and design the life you’ve always dreamed of.

Nobody needs telling there isn’t enough time. We’re obsessed with our lengthening to-do lists, our overfilled inboxes, work-life balance, and the ceaseless battle against distraction; and we’re deluged with advice on becoming more productive and efficient, and “life hacks” to optimize our days. But such techniques often end up making things worse. The sense of anxious hurry grows more intense, and still the most meaningful parts of life seem to lie just beyond the horizon.

But as difficult as our emotions can be, they are also a superpower. Far from being “good” or “bad,” emotions are information. When they’re activated in the right ways and at the right time, they function like an immune system, alerting us to our surroundings, telling us how to react to a situation, and helping us make the right choices. But how do we make our emotions work for us rather than against us?

Money - investing, personal finance, and business decisions - is typically taught as a math-based field, where data and formulas tell us exactly what to do. But in the real world people don’t make financial decisions on a spreadsheet. They make them at the dinner table, or in a meeting room, where personal history, your own unique view of the world, ego, pride, marketing, and odd incentives are scrambled together. In The Psychology of Money, award-winning author Morgan Housel shares 19 short stories exploring the strange ways people think about money.

I Highly Recommend This Book
I liked that this book focused on all the dimensions of living a really good life. Money is important, but it is not everything. In this book, Sahil explains that true wealth has time, social, mental, physical and financial elements. He even goes as far as teaching you how to sustainable progress on all elements over time. No need to settle for a pyrrhic victory when you recognize the 5 types of wealth!

A true gem- 10/10 recommend
Well structured, great story-telling and easy to implement actionables throughout the book. If you combined the best self help books you’ve read over the past two or three decades, and put it into one life manual with the author’s personal voice/experiences in it, this book is it. Recommending it to all my friends in their 30’s and 40’s as well as to my late teens /early 20’s kids.

excellent
A great general plan with tools for measuring where your at and identifying places to improve.
I skipped the love language section due to low utility or other basic concept sections. The book covers broad areas and starts with introduction to topics.

Comprehensive wisdom for life
Brilliant author and a great communicator. Whenever he mentioned a reference that I wasn’t familiar with, he also gave a quality quick summary, so I didn’t have to look it up. I learned a lot. He makes great points and backs them up. The only other thing that I noticed was that some sections were very technical, it’s good for beginners so they can understand the processes. If you’re already familiar with that then it’s like re-reading the basics. In order for this book to have a broad impact, I understand. So it’s really not a bad thing. It’s just an FYI. There are some pretty technical step by step explained sections - necessary for many, although slightly less exciting to read. Overall 5/5!!!
