Juvenile writing style , I enjoyed the storyline idea but felt it was jumpy and not a smooth story progression. Fine if you just want something to listen too and don’t mind a lightning quick cheesy romance

She new she was in a cult from the start which made no sense, also when all of her friends were dying she was having friendly conversations with her husband. Also she accepted that her entire life was a complete lie way to fast. Main thing that annoyed me is that she doesn’t have a personality.

Funny, charming, and fun but also included self-awareness and growth, romance and a true kind of cozy love even with the hardships the characters face. Do recommend!

story kind of dragged a little. i needed more sex scenes for the 2 main characters. but otherwise it was good

There was nothing about the setup that drew me in. The character development fell really flat and the story was first-thoughtish.

I feel bad rating anything 1 star, but it just wasn't good. The narrator was fine. The general plot has a lot of promise. However, it just seems like it was rushed and instead of building your characters where you could really feel like it was a real person that you could care about or relate to is missing. The main Charactor knows she is apart of a cult the whole time. Realistically, that's not something you know until after you are exposed to people who aren't in your cult, and it takes a long time to deprogram. The main charactor had growth, but it was almost instantaneous. Even some of the charactors the main character interacts with, the interactions just are not genuine. One of the side charactors only interest is being in charge of a popular carnival game that their town does once a year. That was his whole personality. It has adult content, but how it was written feels more juvenile.

I found it not great. plot seems so promising but the book just felt thrown together by a young writer. I rarely DNF but this book just was unappealing and boring. DNF.
