Since helping her husband, FBI Agent Jacob Cambridge, and his ETV team solve an extraterrestrial threat in 2008, she retired to raise her twin boys. Until recently, Skye's prophetic dreams hadn't recurred while living a comfortable life as an ordinary mom.
In 2017, the 45th President shut down the secret FBI Extraterrestrial Visitation team and other essential government departments without understanding the consequences. So, Agent Jacob Cambridge was reassigned to to the Boston office. He moved his family to a bay-front cottage on Cape Cod, in Brewster, Massachusetts. It has become Skye's most favorite place in the world.
As once prophesied by an Apache myth, Skye had returned east to raise her twin boys, James and Zachary. She became a well-respected special education teacher, and an excellent artist, proudly selling her landscape paintings in the Cape Cod community for added income. In addition, her family joined and contributed to the local church. Although a highly cynical individual regarding international affairs, American politics, and social media, Skye's life on the Cape had been going well.
Unfortunately, her life takes a sudden turn in 2028 when Jake goes missing while on a mission in China. Her boys have left for college, one on the east coast and the other one the west coast, causing her to suffer from empty nest syndrome.
Depressed, lonely, and upset, Skye begins having bizarre dreams of a dire future for mankind. She had similar forewarnings in the past. It was soon after falling in love with Jake that his boss, Clint Walker, recognized that quirky young Skye could sometimes foretell the future through her dreams, and was a gifted markswoman with a rifle. So he had brought her into the FBI fold as a strategic asset. She was brave and resourceful in helping the FBI ETV team resolve a global situation involving an invasion of bat-like aliens in 2008.
But, it won't be another extraterrestrial invasion, a super virus, a World War unleashing atomic weapons, or an asteroid crashing into the earth that threatens mankind's extinction. No, there will be a new terror devised in the minds of scientists eager to combine AI technology with biology. Soon xenobots, microscopic organisms with a will to propagate independently, will take control of experimental drones and robotic devices. These critters will breed and develop an ability to think and plan on their own. Without a conscience, they will take control with the mission of causing the apocalyptic demise of mankind.
Skye's visionary dreams begin anew through some divine providence not yet fully understood. Strangely, most are about her and her boys in front of a massive cave with frightened children of varying ages and ethnicities all with striking blue eyes huddled around them.
Soon, strangers begin showing up at Skye's door. Weirdly, like in her dreams, their children have blue eyes, similar apocalyptic nightmares, and think she is their savior.
Skye's FBI friends, Richard Healy and David Forrester unexpectedly arrive on her doorstep. They show her disturbing satellite photos. They must devise a plan to gather, run, and hide from an oncoming threat. More and more followers join them as they embark on a challenging journey to hide and plan revenge on this new terror from the sky.
Cherished characters and exciting new ones will converge to help deal with the latest threat to civilization. Join Skye, her family, friends, and followers on this unpredictably frightening journey.
This is book four of the "Terror from the Sky" saga. For newer fans, it can be read independently of the previous three stories. However, you would probably get more enjoyment from reading the first three, Chances, Changes, and Choices. Enjoy!
