I've been a super fan of Mrs Jackson for more than 15 years. I think I have read all her books at least twice and some 5 or 6 times. Like her I am a true romantic and I thoroughly enjoy how she assures love will find a way! I recently got into audio books and I have decided to see if I could steam up my glasses by choosing some of my favorite reads of hers to start this audio journey and this book did not disappoint! I enjoyed the first story but the 2nd story was Super! ❤️

Ron Butler's narration of *Taming A Heartbreaker* is nothing short of phenomenal. From the very first word, Butler pulls you into the story, making you feel every emotion and nuance of Brenda Jackson's brilliantly written characters. His deep, smooth voice perfectly captures the essence of the male lead, while his versatility shines through in his seamless portrayal of the female characters, creating a vivid, immersive experience for the listener.

Butler's ability to switch between voices and tones is flawless, adding layers to the story that enhance Jackson’s already captivating romance. The emotional depth he brings to the characters, especially during those heart-stopping, passionate moments, is truly remarkable. He breathes life into every scene, making you feel as though you're right there with the characters.

His pacing and delivery are impeccable, keeping the listener engaged from start to finish. Ron Butler doesn’t just narrate; he performs with such skill that the story leaps off the page (or the audiobook app!). This was not one of my favorite Brenda Jackson books, but for the most part I enjoyed it, although pretty predictable. I thought the countless detailed descriptions of the bathroom scenes for the morning sickness did not add to the romance of the storyline! Her illness and the reason why she had excessive morning sickness and was in need of a caregiver was outlined well in the beginning and continuing to detail bathroom scenes was not pleasant, and the constant references to “gripping toilet bowls” did not help me to enjoy how much Redford cared for Carmen.

I always love when a “player” changes his ways for the woman he loves!
