Book one of the series, Rosewater, received multiple award nominations and book two, The Rosewater Insurrection has been much anticipated. Thompson writes alongside his work as a hospital psychiatrist.

We spoke about Tade about how he created the town and society in the books, how he kept track of a 'then' and 'now' narrative, and why he has mixed feelings about trilogies.
