I sometimes worry with my favorite authors that they won’t be able to keep up the magic of their previous books, but I am so happy to report that this one did not disappoint. So full of humor and heart and depth, with some unexpected twists to keep things interesting. Loved this story.

I truly enjoyed this book start to finish. I’m unclear on the meh reviews. I loved the narrators, I loved the story of love between Zeke and Lexi. Even the ending was great. I wasn’t left wanting. Beth O’Leary always delivers poignant stories with twists that clearly show her writing skills and love of her characters.

I liked the love story portion of the book, but the survivalist part really stressed me out. I found myself speeding it up in parts just to get through it.

I am only disappointed by how few books Beth OLeary writes. Her dialogue is realistic and fun. I enjoyed the story. It might not be completely realistic, but it was fun without being completely implausible. As usual her characters are layered with backstories, and lives lived outside of the confines of the book. Highly recommend.
