I have read this story and picked it up on sale. Really disappointed by the narrator. I liked the voice of Sullivan but her voice for the main character came off too haughty and a bit annoying. It grew on me a little at the end. Still, a nice shorter story.

3.5 stars ⭐️ Cassidy is a struggling writer who meets Colin, a famous artist, on a wharf at night. He grabs her face while he inspects her. Cassidy was his perfect model. She agrees to sit for him since she needed the money, and as she does so, they talk. Colin does become somewhat obsessed with her and she falls in love with him. The third act conflict was assault he doesn’t know how to use his words well but reverts to an alphahole to get his point/emotions across. Sullivan’s Woman is a light gray romance. Would I condone this type of behavior from either of them in real life? No, but I was entertained by a work of fiction that was written in 1984 when this type of hero was more acceptable in books.

FIRST TIME I EVER RATED A BOOK... LOVE NORA ROBERTS BOOKS BUT I NEVER WANT TO LISTEN TO ANOTER BOOK NARRATED BY AMY MCFADDEN, SHE SOUNDS LIKE HER NOSE IS UP SOOOOO HIGHT THAT IF IT STARTED TO RAIN SHE WOULD DROWN!!! SHE RUINED THE BOOK FOR ME!!!

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Amy McFadden?
