Even though the stock market is the heart of a country's wealth, and even though it enables everybody to be a part owner in the largest, most successful countries in the world, it's not taught in public schools. But be warned: the mainstream press often misrepresents the stock market.
Frankly, the best investing is boring investing. It's putting as much money as you can afford into many companies, and reinvesting dividends. And continuing to do so until you reach retirement age.
The best investing is not about trying to figure out what's going to happen in the economy or the markets tomorrow, next week, next month, or next year.
Many financial writers try to make you think you have to work hard at investing. You must study stock charts every night. Read annual reports. Thoroughly analyze a company's financial statements. Read the financial press. Buy special software. Hang out in online investing forums. Not so!
Don't waste your time. This book takes modern financial theory to its logical conclusion. You can get the maximum long term benefit by following its simple plan. No tedious math or economics theory needed.

What made the experience of listening to Stock Market Investing for Beginners the most enjoyable?
It's common sense approach.
What did you like best about this story?
It did not promise "pie in the sky" or any get rick quick scheme. Just very sound advice on how to invest wisely over time not matter how the stock market fluctuates. I've read many books on investing and this, short though it my be, is my far the best.

Sense, but not "common" sense
Would you listen to Stock Market Investing for Beginners again? Why?
Yes..probably a few times. A lot to learn from it and repetition helps. Plus, the first time I listened, I was in the car. Next time I will do it at home and take notes.
What did you like best about this story?
It made a lot of sense but was not "common" sense. What I means by that was than, what was said was really good advice but not something most non-stock people would know.

No characters since it was non-fiction. We both thought the reading was good.

Basic, a bit boring, but he actually makes a great case if you can survive til the end.
As a stock market novice, his droning definitions were actually of use to me. I would recommend this book to anyone who has little understanding of what they're doing with their investments, and I'd recommend it even more to people who don't know why they're doing it. I will invest differently because of this book.

Your average beginner book about stocks and dividends
Sigh it was okay like some people have mention previous in the post the audiobook is for beginners. Narrator James killavey was okay but sounded like he read from a prompt reader screen. Not to do this but in addition to helping someone It might be mentioned to suggest the audiobook rule #1 by Phil towns . #idonttrustcapitoloneinvestingtheircrooks #mayloosevalue

Get rich slow
What about James Killavey’s performance did you like?
Good voice and pace for this kind of book.
What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?
You can't really get rich quick, unless you win the lottery, but you can get rich in a reasonable amount of time.
