The last thing cowboy Colt O’Malley needs is another busybody intent on curing him of his grief. Deeply bitter, Colt finds it almost impossible honoring his brother’s last act of kindness. Spring Reed grew up in the foster care system and when she finally ages out, she relies on her protector and friend, Billy Jack to help them make a life together. To her horror, Billy becomes an abusive bully. Her rescuer arrives in the form of a coffee drinking, hard studying college student, Caleb O’Malley. With a promise of a new job, he buys her a bus ticket from Texas to his family ranch in Montana with the plan to meet her there in a week. Unfortunately, no one met her. When Old Ed tries to drop Spring off at the O’Malley ranch, Colt tells him to take her back. One glance at the pain in her eyes and he couldn’t send her away. She reminds her of the abused horses he rescues and he had to try to honor Caleb’s wish. Can two people with scarred souls learn to love again or will bitterness and doubt drive them apart?

Loved it !! this story. the narrator is so fantastic it's like your really there!! good overall

What a touching story. Spring's life before meeting Colt was a mess. A selfish mother on drugs. A boyfriend who beat her. With help, she escaped to Montana. She meets Colt and things start to look better. Colt is definitely hero material and they have a HEA. You will need to get the tissues handy because are a few scenes that bring on the tears. But there are a lot more to laugh about than cry. I do recommend the whole set of the Cowboy Seasons because this story does bring in the other characters from the other books but it does stand alone.

This is a great story. Spring has had a rough child hood and an abusive boyfriend. She leaves him and ends up at her friends ranch. But he has accidentally been killed. Spring ends up staying and there is a lot of things happen. This book keeps your attention from start to end. Colt is a good guy but has a lot of grief over his brother. Vickie Pierce does an excellent job on this book. I received a copy of this book from audiobooks unleashed but that has no influence on my review. The narrator brought this story alive.
The storyline was an absolutely attention grabber
with suspense drama romance and it takes you on
an amazing journey that is quite emotional at times.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this audio book.
