What happens when you suddenly find yourself in a reality of untold possibilities, in a place where technology and magic are indistinguishable? Every game location is a transformed physical world connected to others through an interstellar network of portals. Every player "avatar" is a living physical body with incredible survival traits. Once in this dreamscape, it would be unwise to not seize the moment! There are, however, a couple of catches.

First of all, you don't remember your identity. Second, the "sandbox" of this inter-civilization game, Universe ICS, is a dangerous place for beginners. Finally, character restoration is finite. Death in ICS may be irreversible.

Few things i could nitpick but overall this was a very compelling book. What is it about Russian writers? Is it a guy thing? I do like old school.

This was a great starting litrpg book even though it had been translated from Russian. This is a must have for any fan of fiction. Great story development and mc interaction. I can't wait for the next book.

A great litRPG i definitely recommend it fans of the genre. The story was a fun listen with plenty of action.

I struggled to finish this one. The combat seems boring, it kept putting me to sleep. Most of the skills and rules are vague and inconsistent. The MC falls flat, as does most of the dialog. It's very Russian, in the way it makes the MC suffer for little to no gain (sucking at life does not make your character interesting). The pets seem more likable and interesting than any of the other characters. The number of stupid reveals would put a heist movie to shame.

The story line was intriguing. However, the blurring of right and wrong simply because you are in a game was terrible. Murder is okay because I got an assasins quest. Yuck! Plus way too many f-bombs.

Its not a bad start to a story … it’s just that there are problems in the “world” logic i.e. exceptions to the rule…

like the ending the died guy did worse then the living guy but living guy get cracked down on however dead guy didn’t … i.e. i cast a spell that made sure this dude in my guild died but wasn’t given that title or kicked out of the guild … then we go … ohh i have a concussion and no health and this guy has a soul stealing shizznot on me … damn I can’t even move well so foggy … oh clever plan …. Huff Just enough str to reverse the shizz but aww he noticed and in last final thing damn he went from paralized to like super str at death… yep but you know when i get revived … your a dumbass you could have killed yourself and not had anything to do with him … makes sense because he fukin tracked me down while i had 100% futige blah blah blah just for you we change the rules …. Now abandoned your friends haha because change rules but they stay same for everyone else. sllooooooooowwwwww clap
