Acerca de esta escucha
Sonic Consciousness is a comprehensive examination of sound's therapeutic properties, particularly in music, transforming your aural experience from passive hearing to active listening. It addresses several long-standing questions: What is harmony? Why is classical music particularly suitable for healing? It explores the sacred knowledge behind musical scales, reevaluates Bach's music for its healing potential, and delves deep into the realm of brain entrainment. It introduces new discoveries related to brain entrainment, presented here for the first time.
All claims in the book are substantiated with sound examples, which serve as evidence for each assertion. "Sonic Consciousness" is meticulously organized, tracing the progression of sound from its physical structure to the therapeutic realm of sound sessions, which are also included at the end of the book. As a comprehensive sound course, it caters to a broad audience, including casual listeners eager to explore a new field without prior knowledge of musical terms, holistic practitioners who incorporate sound waves and music into their practices, and potential clients of holistic sonic therapy who resonate with the idea of utilizing sound to address physiological and psychological imbalances.
Evan Soundwell, an accomplished researcher and practitioner in sonic therapy, stands as a pioneer in sonic therapy sessions, informational medicine, and the world's first sound homeopathy application. With a career dedicated to the convergence of sound, science, and health, his expertise establishes him as a distinctive voice in holistic health discourse.

Ear-opening with sounds and music included!
Not your typical audiobook. The author includes samples of sounds and music in the narration which really help to understand the concepts proposed. The book provides a really good in depth look at some of the concepts behind music and why classical music stands out amongst the rest. Never thought much about sounds and music but this book has really changed my perception and opened my eyes (ears) to a whole nother world around me. Excellent read, highly recommend to anyone if you want to gain an appreciation for sound and music!

Must listen for anyone interested in the relationship between mathematics, science and music
This audio book was fascinating and well-researched. In rich historical detail, the author dives into the science of music and tuning. The mathematical equations behind tuning are presented in an easy to understand way, with audio examples. The chapters about Johann Sebastian Bach were especially interesting. The author considers Bach more as the founder of a religion, and uses his music as part of sound therapy. I have not heard any serious discussion of using 432 Hz as concert pitch, nor of the fractal nature of music, nor of numerous other topics discussed in this work, anywhere else. It is a must listen for musicians and anyone else interested in the deeper meaning of music and sound.
