As a teacher at high school, this book has been a huge help for many students I teach. We listened to this during Homeroom and had discussions about key topics such as budgeting and credit. The guidance on alternatives to traditional college education was invaluable and a necessity for all teens to listen to. There are some key lessons taught in this book about finance, but the strategies to leveraging money was great! I wish I had these techniques when I was planning to go to college!

The book is also really well sectioned so it is easy to navigate, and bookmark to come back to. This will be a resource on my bookshelf for students for a while! - Recommend!

This book stands out for me due to several reasons: it explains all matters finance in a simple and easy to relate way. It does not overwhelm you with complicated strategies, but rather empower you with simple steps and solutions everyone should be reminded of, now and then. Such important topics as credit, insurance, emergency funds and much more are covered.
I especially like the "Navigating the World of Cars and Homes" chapter. It's a complex subject teens and young adults tend to overlook and so do their parents in the subject of financial literacy.
It's a great resource of information and I highly recommend this book.

Though I've read a ton of articles and seen a ton of books on the subject lately, I must admit that the tone of this book drew me in. It provides helpful personal financial advice for the teenage to young adult transition and speaks to young adults on their own terms.
It all makes sense right away because the author uses their language while speaking to the young adult reader. Excellent work!
