Acerca de esta escucha

Comedienne Mo'Nique, the bold, classy, sitcom star, Queen of Comedy, and two-time NAACP Image Award winner is at it again. This time she proves once and for all that Skinny Women Are Evil. Mo'Nique shares her tales of frustration in a world designed for the skinny, and lets us in on the tricks and manipulation that finally led her to declare the truth about the real weight-challenged. From travel, exercise, and raising kids, to shopping, dining out, and sex, she tackles the everyday things that make life tough for Fabulous and Thick (F.A.T.) girls.

With Mo's handy Thin-O-Meter as a guide, you'll know immediately whether you're dealing with a skinny evil woman whose goal is to control and change the F.A.T., or a cool thin one who's big at heart. As Mo'Nique puts it, if after two bites of food she proclaims, "I'm stuffed," she's evil. If she asks if you're pregnant, and you're not, then chances are she's evil.

Whether you tip the scales at a puny 100 pounds, or weigh in at a voluptuous 225, Skinny Women Are Evil is filled with stories and observations only this comedy heavyweight can bring. So, sit back and get comfortable. After listening to Skinny Women Are Evil, you'll be singing the praises of FATTY girls, too!

Great read. Loved it from start to finish. It goes behind the scenes and gets down to the core of Mo'Nique

I love Mo’Nique she has always been my role model since a kid ! Even as an adult I love her she made me so confident! This book reaffirmed it

AMAZING !!

I think the best learning I was able to get from this book is that acceptance needs to come from oneself first. It was very touching to see her journey 'till now that she is an academy award winner.

Very inspiring and self assuring

Would you listen to Skinny Women Are Evil again? Why?

I would listen to this title again simply because Mo'nique not only approached the whole skinny women versus fat women in a very direct and unbiased way. She emphasizes in this title the need for self-acceptance and self-love. she embraces

Who was your favorite character and why?

Favourite character was Mo'nique. Her story was one which never lacked action or interest. At every point her life had happy moments, moments of shame and moments that even contained physical abuse. Monique as a character was all encompassing. She was able to bring all aspects of society into play in this title.

Have you listened to any of Mo'Nique’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No never listened to any of her performances. I watch her show the Parkers a lot and I was able to see that there were similarities between the two characters. However there were marked differences. I thought that she in this book was much more untamed and just raw. this performance gave us the

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Skinny women are evil !

Most unashamedly down to earth title I have heard

Don't waste a credit on this book. Should've looked at how long it was. Was over before she went into much.

Mo'Nique does a fantastic job with the delivery.

As for the "story." There wasn't much. A few scenarios, but she brushes through them like a comedy sketch more than written out with thought and reflection. I was obese for most of my life and thought I could relate to a funny book about loving yourself. I really thought the title was poking fun at the idea of hating others because of their size. But nope, just a book about actually hating women who are smaller than she is. This book just seemed filled with bitterness that didn't come across as funny. Just came across as ignorant and insecure. She clearly doesn't look past her own lifestyle. And seems to have a very close minded opinion, which is ironic with her book title. Goes as far as to encourage name calling. Just seemed very immature.

Wow, that was short.

She claims again and again that it’s ok to be the way you are and she turns around just to lose a lot of weigh for whatever

Misleading

Love a lot of Mo'Nique's gigs, but this is just a bitter little pill of paranoia and unhappiness that I quit after 30 minutes of trying.

Hated it, I'm sorry to say.
