Acerca de esta escucha

"Sir Nigel" is a historical novel by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, set in the beginning of the Hundred Years' War, spanning 1350 to 1356. It is the background to Doyle's novel, The White Company, and describes the early life of that book's hero Nigel Loring, a knight in the service of King Edward III. This is not what I thought it was going to be. It is dry but nice to hear the history.

Arthur Conan Doyle’s account of the brave Sir Nigel’s enthralling journey, is so beautifully and vividly written that you feel like you are there, and James Joy’s narration is wonderful and captivating. I would recommend this for anyone that is a fan of Historical Fiction, Medieval history, knights and chivalry, or The Hundred Years' War.
