Brett and Kelly were the cutest! I loved their story so much and this series is such a beautiful heartfelt series. Melanie Moreland captures my heart again with her captivating writing. Brett and Kelly had a complicated history. She broke his heart years back when she left him once and now she is back again. Kelly has had a horrible experience with her former boss who is now blackmailing her and stealing her work. Brett and Kelly have a lot to work through but eventually find their way back to each other. This audiobook is narrated by John Lane and Maxine Mitchell. These two narrators have become a favorite duo to listen to. I love how they bring Brett & Kelly to life. John Lane’s voice is always a perfect mixture of alpha and tenderness. Maxine Mitchell does an excellent job capturing Kelly’s fears, but also her determination to start over and let love in. This story is definitely a great weekend listen. You will fall in love with Melanie Moreland’s stories like I did.

Whenever I pick up a Melanie Moreland book, I know I am in for an entertaining read that will quickly draw me in and keep me invested. Shifting Gears was well written with characters whose story you cannot help but become hooked on. It was so good to be back in The Reynold’s Restoration world for Brett and Kelly’s story.

One of my favourite parts of this series is that these people have come together and formed bonds that cannot be broken, they may not be family by blood, but they are family and it is this that adds to my reading enjoyment.

I loved these characters and the connection that sizzles between Brett and Kelly is intense, impossible to ignore. Kelly is a strong, sassy,woman who has been through a lot. Whilst I fell hard and fast for Brett, he really stole my heart.

From the first word to the last I was hooked. The banter between them is fun, and there was so much love that I felt like I had a permanent smile on my face. I thought Stefano was my favourite but Brett may well beat him. Agreeing to a no strings relationship with Brett, Kelly is determined to keep her heart safe, but sometimes no matter how hard you try, you still fall.

John Lane and Maxine Mitchell did a fantastic job with their performances and in bringing this story to life for me. Their voices are easy to listen to and they certainly did justice to the characters with their passionate and at times emotional narration.

I loved catching up with the other couples, these characters feel like family and this was a wonderful addition to one of my favourite series.

I want to say so much about this book but words can’t do justice. Yes…it’s that good. Brett and Kelly fell in love…then she walked away. Now she’s back and trying to get her feet back under after a betrayal. Will Brett be able to forgive and welcome her back? Will Kelly be satisfied with life in a small town or will her wanderlust win? Ok,so I had some words!! This book is worth the read or listen!!

A deliciously addictive, entertaining and sweet romance. Brett and Kelly are absolutely adorable and perfect for one another. It took some time and some angst for them to figure things out and the outcome was simply beautiful. I enjoyed this story.

Melanie Moreland writes some of the most beautiful stories. If you are ever feeling down or doubtful that true love exists, just find one of her titles, and by the last page you will be completely convinced that love is all around us. Shifting Gears is no exception.

Shifting Gears is Book 3 of the Men of Reynolds Restorations series. Breaking the Speed Limit (Book 2) gave us a few hints about something brewing between Brett and Kelly and I was happy to see they would be getting their own story.

When two people drawn to each other agree to have a strictly physical relationship, what could possibly go wrong? With such a strong connection it’s impossible to prevent feelings from developing. But when they do, Kelly’s first instinct is to run. Her job as a photographer gives her a perfect excuse as she's always taking off for assignments in far away places.

After the scene replays itself one too many times for Brett, who is ready to build a real relationship with Kelly, he’s done. But when Kelly arrives back in town in a bad situation and in need of friends, he can’t help but be drawn back into her orbit, despite his own promises to himself to keep his heart safe from her. And let me tell you, when Brett finally gives in to his desires, be prepared! The chemistry between the two of them off the charts!

John Lane and Maxine Mitchell do an absolutely wonderful job portraying Brett and Kelly. It really does seem that they were made to speak Ms. Moreland’s words. Both easily navigate the busy family scenes giving distinct voices to each character and when it’s time to turn up the heat they more than deliver!!!

What I absolutely love about this series is the attention Moreland gives to family bonds. And not just family by blood, but friends like family too. Charly and Kelly’s friendship runs so deep and she shows just how far she is willing to go to help her friend in need. The interactions between Brett, Stefano, Maxx, and Chase are hilarious and also real. The teasing, the exasperation, and most importantly, the love is all there. And Theo, of course, is back with his innocent observations which had me chuckling on more than one occasion. I also loved seeing feelings develop between Brett’s father and Rosa and the struggle for the “boys” to accept their parents' desire for companionship at their stage in life.

Shifting Gears is a perfect second chance romance! I’m so glad that the next book in the series is coming soon. I can’t get enough of the Reynold’s Restorations crew.

This is a lovely listening. It’s super funny, sweet, romantic, and is in there a little bit of heartbreak too, but the love is huge! One of the best romcom. Reynolds Restoration is a big happy family and to my eternal happiness they keep growing. Brett is really the most perfect person for Kelly, he gives her a purpose ever when neither of them knows it. Their chemistry is definitely hot and beyond description. We meet them from previous books, in this serie and I knew their story will be perfect. Melanie don’t disappointed me here. Brett, Stefano, Maxx and Chase are definitely family to each other. The banter between Stefano and Brett because of Theo questions are amazingly funny! I laugh so hard while reading some chapters, specially the 14th. You’ll gonna love them more. And you’ll love Theo more in this book, is inevitable; with all the questions and comments hahaha he’s the best. Charly, Gabby and Kelly are the perfect group of friends. The HEA here is awesome!!! Can wait for Chase and Occifer Cinnamon’s (lol) story!!!

This is the third book in the Reynolds Restorations series, a series of interconnected stories. I love this series! I read it and loved it. The audiobook version beautifully brings this story to life. Brett and Kelly's story is sweet, sexy, and, heartwarming. They are both interesting characters. Their push and pull relationship is filled with ups and downs. The storyline has family drama, and a little suspense. The supporting characters are great. I loved to see again the characters from the first books. Maxine Mitchell and John Lane did an amazing job with the narration. They definitely are on my list of favorite narrators. I enjoyed it. The scenes with Chase and 'Occifer Cinnamon/Officer Gallagher' was hilarious, and I am looking forward to listening to Under the Radar, Chase's story, the next book in the series. I highly recommend this series.

Second Chances and a found family romance with another fabulous couple! Brett and Kelly have such great chemistry, and they really bring the heat. They are also an exercise in frustration at times, especially when they tiptoe around each other and make assumptions (you know what they say about assuming something, right?). Of course, this is a Melanie Moreland couple, and I love them all, so even while I wanted to shake the daylights out of one or both of them, I really, really wanted them to work. They do have a couple of hurdles to get over along with some trauma to work through, but they've got a terrific found family around them to provide support. So, yes, if you're familiar with the series, you'll get to visit some past favorites - I was thrilled to see Theo, little scene-stealer that he is. And if you're new to the series, get ready because once you meet these characters, you will want to know each couple's story. Chase is coming up next, and I can not wait to get my hands on his book!
Pair this engaging romance with the voices of Maxine Mitchell and John Lane and it's an unbeatable combination. Whatever the emotion or situation - dealing with trauma, heartbreak, falling in love, flirting, sexy fun - Lane and Mitchell are batting a thousand. Between the writing and the performance, I was right there with Kelly and Brett for all the ups and downs, all the take your breath away moments - all of it, and it was one great listen.

I love every book author Melanie Moreland writes. Her stories are like having a meaningful conversation with old friends. The characters are so funny, loving and supportive of each other, they form their own little family, I just can’t help to love them. Shifting Gear is a delightful love story about a hero who’s ready to settle down and a heroine who’s looking for her place in this life. This book has me laughing out loud several times, Shifting Gear is exactly what I needed today, awesome characters including an adorable 5 year old boy that loves to overshare everything he sees and hears including asking too many questions about hearing raccoons or bears in the garage. This book, this whole series is amazing. Can’t wait to read about Chase.
