So I'm not going to lie. I liked the first book in this series but a huge portion of this second book felt slow. The rh aspects feel somewhat pointless and the multiple pov sometimes makes me feel like I'm getting whiplash sometimes (especially with how some of the romance scenes happen). BUT... BUT.... that ending pulled me back. Really thd last 10 ish chapters have me ready for the next book. I'm hoping that the pacing in the third book will be a little better and that the relationships become more meaningful.

I’m just not a super spicy book enjoyer but I still really liked the book if I skipped past the intense parts - i liked the story, plot, gore , and characters a lot. The end makes me want the 3rd book now.

I took a shot in the dark with this series. I so was not disappointed other than not having the next book. I quickly purchased and finished the second (this book.) Again I was not disappointed. Worth a read if you like female leads in a fantasy setting.
