Loved the story!

The story has a very original beginning and twist on the original. I really enjoyed the first 2/3 of the book! But the last 1/3 dragged on way too long. I agree with the reviews that point out that Elizabeth was a bit slow when it came to accepting her feelings.
This story could have been 3-4 hours shorter. Too much time spent on Elizabeth being a bit of a dunce about Darcy; Lady Catherine being officious; and the too detailed "Companion" debate. Not sure I bought into Mrs. Bennet's ability to reform *that* much.
I also missed Jane in most of the book, we spend more time with Bingley than Jane and I thought that was a little weird. Also, Kitty basically disappears in the second half.
Great Idea, Great Narrator, Story too long

Enjoyable

Harry Frost gives listeners a most delicious Darcy, and a top-notch performance of the rest of the cast. He also does such a great life-like, spoiled-brat Lydia voice, that I want to reach into the screen and strangle her! There should be an award for that level of skill and talent! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good, but very low angst

After her visit to Kent Elizabeth is in Meryton with her sisters when she notices Anne de Bourgh in a carriage conversing with Wickham, a former member of the militia. Realizing that he can be up to no good with the heiress Elizabeth takes
advantage of his absence to talk to Anne and discover what she is doing with him. When Anne admits to an elopement Elizabeth is able to talk her into accompanying her back to Longbourn and safety from the blackguard. This action brings Elizabeth, Darcy and Lady Catherine into immediate contact.
Although Darcy wanted to have the opportunity for a second chance with Elizabeth he is thrust into her company much quicker than he could have imagined. As well Lady Catherine also comes to retrieve her daughter and insists on her share of the conversation. What could possibly go wrong?
As always Harry Frost is amazing and brings the story to life.
A Sassy Anne De Bourgh!

What I liked best was the portrayals of the secondary characters, especially Mr. Bennet’s large-and-in-charge confrontation with Wickham early in the story. Lots of good teasing among everyone in this book too.
I especially loved Harry Frost’s interpretation of it all. Five stars for Harry
Enjoyed it.
