Listened to the first 3- used a credit for book 3 because they are cliffhangers. I definitely got sucked into the story even as it became more and more outrageous.
Spiciness was flat considering the H owns a sex club. The narration also contributed to the anticlimactic scenes.

Different narrators would do these books great justice, especially the female narrator. If I wasn’t so invested in the story, I would have stopped listening because of her.

I did like that the h was strong and independent. That’s probably what kept me listening. If she was poor and desperately dependent, the storyline would basically be revolting. 🤷‍♀️
I did appreciated the change in H behaviors, which is to be expected with HEA endings.

So- I’m glad I got through the first three but I won’t use credits to get through the series

The narrators have nice voices and the story was easy to listen to. I didn't realize (though I should have) that this story would end on a cliffhanger. Then I realized that the story of these two characters is told across three short books. I can't stand when authors do this. It's not an epic story and should have been one book.

Also, the whole premise of why she has to do this isn't believable based on the players involved. The dialog and emotions are juvenile and I just don't care enough to continue.

The man’s voice is good but the woman could have done better.
The story is interesting but at times a little too wordy, almost like the author was trying to use big words.

Easy and Interesting

This book was so spicy for sure. It had plenty of spicy moments yet it had a great plot playing through in the background. I enjoyed that the spicy scenes weren’t in every chapter but when they did happen, phew they were so good. The banter and connection between the two main characters were good, though at times a little dull. All in all I did enjoy the book a lot and I’m glad that I picked it up.

Female narrator was not great. She did not emphasize the correct words in the sentences and often sounded robotic. Story was good. Will continue to book 2.

The common story line is not the problem at all. I read and enjoy a lot of cliched stories and most of all I love cliffhangers in a series so I think it’s the writing. The two main characters’ chemistry was totally off and not believable. If it hadn’t been for the narrators I would’ve never finished the book but still it was hard going. I don’t think I’ll be carrying on with the series anymore. Great cliffhanger by the way, probably best part of the book

The story was pretty good. It was slow to start, but it picked up towards the middle. The narrators are new to me and take a little bit of getting used to. It was intriguing and kept my interest. I thought it was going to be the only book I read in this series, but now that there is a cliffhanger. I definitely have to read the next book.
