On her last day alive, Marilyn Monroe said she knew “dangerous secrets,” then suspiciously died later that night. In this compelling new account of what happened to her, investigative journalist and award-winning author Larry Jordan presents solid evidence that has never surfaced before. He has crafted a gripping, fast-paced, historically accurate and chronological narrative that connects the dots and shows you how events unfolded. He exposes the collusion of malicious forces intent on silencing Marilyn, whom they mistakenly viewed as a threat. (She was NEVER going to hold a press conference).

Jordan examined intelligence documents declassified in 2025, unearthed contemporary accounts that had long been overlooked, discovered unpublished memories of people close to Monroe, conducted exclusive interviews and even gained access to Bobby Kennedy’s desk diaries. Speculation about the MM/JFK/RFK affairs is laid to rest with absolute proof. Dr. Cyril Wecht, called the “godfather of forensic pathology” has praised Jordan for his “meticulous, extensive research.” In this new book, incriminating evidence against several individuals is persuasively laid out in a style befitting a criminal prosecutor.

The author reveals that MM’s doctor and psychiatrist were clandestinely active in the Communist party and came on the scene when a long simmering affair Marilyn had with John Kennedy heated up in 1960. Housekeeper Eunice Murray had been married to a Communist organizer, and was spying on Marilyn for the FBI at the same time she was introducing her to Communist expatriates during a shopping trip to Mexico. A man who befriended MM there was linked to the CIA.

The final months of her life, Marilyn Monroe was ensnared in a perilous whirlwind involving the Mafia, the Kennedys and the Communists.

Mobster Sam Giancana was having a dispute with the Kennedys, whose family patriarch, old Joe, was his silent partner in the Cal-Neva gambling resort. Monroe was flown there on Frank Sinatra’s plane as a cover for the visit of Peter and Pat Kennedy Lawford two weeks before MM’s death. A “summit” was arranged to iron out a conflict over ownership of the lodge. Complicating matters is that ex-husband Joe DiMaggio became an investor in Cal-Neva in June 1962 as a front for mob interests. FBI files confirm that Giancana sought to recruit Monroe to help him blackmail the Kennedys, but she refused.

As Jordan reveals, Rev. Billy Graham tried to get in touch with Marilyn to warn her she was in “mortal danger,” but failed, so mutual friend Debbie Reynolds got MM’s hairdresser Sydney Guilaroff to reach out to her. She returned his call late in the afternoon of Saturday, Aug. 4, 1962 just before she died. Marilyn was terrified and described threats made against her by RFK when he showed up unexpectedly at her home, after columnists Dorothy Kilgallen and Earl Wilson hinted at a romance between MM and Bobby.

The attorney general was a pit bull whom it is documented had bribed, threatened and even deported women whom it was thought might tarnish his family’s image. It’s a complicated story that Larry Jordan tells with clarity and credibility. The corrupt LA police chief (a friend of the Kennedys) and the coroner’s office helped with the cover-up. The forensics of the case are also examined in fresh detail and the inescapable conclusion drawn that MM was murdered.

This is not a new premise, but the shocking documentation that Jordan brings forth IS new and important. This book will leave you breathless in amazement. It is a masterwork, beautifully written and fascinating. It is a substantial, serious contribution to the history of the woman regarded as “the movies’ Mona Lisa.” It has rare photos, including one of Marilyn in repose BEFORE the autopsy (not after, like the one commonly circulated).
