Acerca de esta escucha

Walt Longmire is back after the escapades of First Frost and encounters one of his most baffling cases in Wyoming’s brutal and unforgiving Red Desert.

When Blair McGowan, the mail person with the longest postal route in the country of over three hundred mile a day, goes missing the question becomes—where do you look for her? The Postal Inspector for the State of Wyoming elicits Sheriff Longmire to mount an investigation into her disappearance and Walt does everything but mail it in; posing as a letter-carrier himself, the good sheriff follows her trail and finds himself enveloped in the intrigue of an otherworldly cult.

Packed to the brim with twists and turns, the 21st novel in the New York Times bestselling Longmire series pushes Walt to his absolute limits, forcing him to wrestle with the impossible question: What good are your morals, if you’re marked for the dead letter office?

This was a great line spoken numerous times in the newest Longmire story- as always, an adventurous tale, with a great main character, this time set in the deserts of Wyoming.

We all love Walt. This is obvious, as we have loved our way through, and stuck by him for the previous 20 stories. And by book 21, we know him pretty well - how he's going to act, and react. There aren't too many surprises left. Not that we need surprises, but we do need what The Bear, Vic, Katie and Lucian bring to the plot and character development. I miss this when they are absent. So, I very much hope his next tale includes them full time. No kidding.

"You've got to be kidding!"

This was similar to the case with the FLDS types and the guy who thought he was Porter Rockwell, but it progressed and ended very differently. It would have been cool to explore more of the extremely remote corners of Wyoming as a matter of course. Still it's always great to read more about Walt and his cadre.

Another enjoyable case, now with 50% more Dog

Another solid installment in the Longmire series. I enjoyed Dog having a greater presence but did miss the Bear not having a greater presence. I actually enjoyed the conversations between the three criminals and Walt, as well as the supporting characters. Lastly, anytime you get to hear George Guidall narrate a book, it’s going to be great.

I missed Henry and Vic, but it was still a really good story. I don’t ever want the story to end.

I love Walt Longmire books!

Well the story was good and I enjoyed the plot but my two favorite characters, Henry and Vic were not prominent. The desert would have been more fun with them and they would add more dialogue to Walt’s long winded self talks. All in all, I want more of my Vic the Holy Terror! We Wild West women need our role model. I did enjoy Cady.

Interesting story

Another excellent adventure with the Sheriff stirring up trouble and setting things right with the world, or at least Wyoming!

Loved that Craig put Robert Taylor in the story! As usual, puts pieces together perfectly!
