Outspan Foster
The world is ending. Only a powerful mage can prevent it.
When he awakens ten years in the past, Kiden Coldsteel dedicates his second chance to becoming a legendary mage to prepare for the terrors to come, when the Acolytes of the Old Gods are destined to shroud the world in darkness forever.
Kiden does not have the benefit of years of training as a mage. His martial skills aren't enough alone. He must rely on his method of Law of the Opposites, approaching magic in a way that goes against every established theory.
Until then, he must locate the strongest mage humanity has ever produced and earn his support, or else humanity won't stand a chance…
Outspan Foster returns with this action packed LitRPG adventure about one man's quest to prevent the coming apocalypse. Can Kiden save everything and everyone he loves?

There is no lit RPG system in this book. There is no system. There are no stats. There are no skills, but there is magic and spells. There’s only three different spells you can use in this book. Know each person can use the different spells in their own individual way but there’s no fireball or lightning. The three different spells they can use are mind, force and I’m not sure what the other one is. I forgot I did not really care for this book.
The way they use magic is different so I thought it was going to be cool. But you don’t really get much explanation of why it’s done this certain way. They use a circle system for magic. And that’s the closest RPG you’ll get. So the way it works is you gather mana and you create a circle in your chest. And then the more circles you have the stronger you are. But then the way they cast spells is through a wand, but it’s more like steam punk-ish with mechanical parts in the wand like radiators And converters.
In my opinion, there was just not enough explanation of how their magic works. Why the ones are what they are or why they can only cast the spells they can cast. As well as nothing really happens in the first book. Yes the main character does go back in time by 10 years, and he saves some people but nothing really progresses. The main character doesn’t really have a crap ton of special knowledge to use They’ll help him right now. Most of it is what it’ll help him in the future so there’s just a lot of set up to this book.
This is a more sci-fi fantasy book and I guess a progression style book. I would not call it a RPG at all wasn’t for me. I wouldn’t recommend don’t waste your credit if you’re looking for a litrpg
