Focusing on practical solutions, the book offers a crash course in statistics, including elegant methods for dealing with messy and incomplete data. And this expanded second edition includes new chapters on forecasting, data mining, and dynamic report writing.

Honestly you can find much better (and by now more up to date) training on R via video lecture but if like me you learn better by reading vs lecture then this book is ok.
Would would be ideal are audio versions of Hadley Wickham’s books, but this one seems to be the only R audio title available.
