When your local coffee shop turns into a portal to a magical realm, you know it's going to be one of those days.

I thought my biggest problem was convincing the police to take my abduction theories seriously. Turns out, I was wrong. Very wrong. One minute I’m in my favorite coffee shop, and the next I’m thrown into a magical world full of fae, shadowy beasts, and a ridiculously handsome fae king named Doren.

Apparently, I'm a contender in some crazy competition to become the queen of the Shadow Court. Yeah, you heard that right. Queen. Of. The. Shadow. Court. All I ever wanted was to find my mom and maybe binge-watch a new series, not fight mythical creatures and dodge lethal fae women who’d rather see me dead.

But here’s the kicker: I’ve got mysterious powers I didn’t even know I had, and Doren is convinced I’m the key to breaking a centuries-old curse. Oh, and did I mention he’s insanely gorgeous with a brooding vibe that’s both infuriating and irresistible?

So now I’ve got two goals: survive this deadly fae competition and figure out what the heck is going on with these newfound abilities. All while navigating a world where everyone wants something from me—whether it's my powers, my life, or my heart.
