When Ellyssa finds herself stranded and alone on a mysterious island, her life takes a sharp turn. Bereaved by the loss of her mother, she finds solace in the hands of Marie, her seemingly benevolent guardian who conceals a heart as dark as the raging sea.

Ellyssa also meets Dawson, who fuels something inside her, but when disaster strikes again, she's left alone at the mercy of Marie.

She virtually becomes a prisoner on an island intertwined with her roots, and Marie will stop at nothing to ensure she snatches that destiny from Ellyssa. But there is more to the Island than meets the eye, and Ellyssa might reunite with the surmised ghosts of her past.

I'm a Christian and this is actually one of the first book I've read that mentions God, forgiveness and Jesus a lot.
Overall it's a decent story. There's a lot of mystery and if you like damsel in distress type of story, this is for you. This book isn't my cup of tea but overall I think young children would enjoy this book more.
The narrator performance was spot on and she does some decent singing.

I was intrigued from the start and loved how it shows about forgiveness and how we are not alone. Narrator did a fantastic job too.

I absolutely loved this audible. So interesting and is very intriguing how everything plays out. it holds and captivates your attention. A bit of a romantic thriller. The narrative brings the people to life. well written can't wait for another one written.
