Thayne Wolfe and Jarrett Evans have been working together for nearly a year. Now, living together as well, their relationship has taken on a whole new meaning for both men. Lincoln Snow, from the FBI’s LA field office, has a new partner, McBride M. McCallahan, a massive former Green Beret. The men are chasing a kidnapper, trying to rescue a child from an online sex ring. When their case intersects with the ATF’s through stolen weapons, Lincoln and Mac team up with Jarrett and Thayne to solve their case as well.

From a desert hunting lodge for the insanely wealthy, to the gang-infested streets of Los Angeles, the men follow the guns to solve both their cases. In a race for time to save a little boy and keep themselves above ground long enough to find out who’s pulling the strings, all they want to do is put this case to bed.

This Series Is Fantastically Brilliant. Point and Shoot being the fifth book in the series could mean a lower quality book for various reason. But not in this case it is “First Rate” writing all the way through the book is Absolutely Incredible.
Patricia Logan’s book actually has a story and a plot it is very well developed and thought out. All of the characters are incredible and have depth to them, they come off the page. The MC’s Jarrett and Thayne which have their relationship story that is seamlessly and creatively entwines into the overall story. A story that is Amazing to read. The characters of Jarrett and Thayne are stellar, they are ATF agents. They have really developed a relationship at this point that is tender and loving. I love how protective they are to each other. From the book “I totally hear ya on that. I’ll make sure we’re also as heavily armed as we can be. Okay?” Thayne smiled and glanced over at his partner, nodding. “Yeah. I know you will. The truth is, I always feel safe when I have you by my side.”. The depth of their love allows them to overlook each other’s mistakes. I think that it is so sweet how Jarrett calls Thayne “Darlin'”. I also appreciate the battle that Thayne has with himself, because he wants to know more about Jarrett’s past and yet he truly respects his privacy and his oath.

It’s amazing that there is both sex and intimacy. And that the sex is to enhance and help the story and not be the whole book. The other characters are great too. You have more ATF a favorite among those is Sarah. Got to like a strong woman that is also sweet. Then you have FBI with Lincoln Snow and Mac McCallahan (who is a former Green Beret that Jarrett calls Mac Mac Mac). And then you have Cassidy Ryan LAPD. These are just a few of the characters from the book. Oh, yeah you can’t forget about Teensy he’s in security. You’ll have to read the book to get to know him better but here is a bit about Jarrett and Thayne’s encounter with him. “He didn’t actually get a hold of Jarrett,” Thayne explained with some amusement. “I shot him before he got too close.” “…..you say. He was a quarter inch from my damn boot when his dinosaur ass came to rest!”. Great part of the book, lots of action going on. I like that you get an occasional glimpse of another character and what they are doing from their point of view.

This book has murder, danger, kidnapping, humor, bad guys, gangs, dirty cops, FBI Agents, ATF Agents, LAPD, stolen guns, online sex ring, “Teensy”, drama, intrigue, sex, action, humor, Hot sexy hotel roof top Jacuzzi moment and they have a clock to race before kids are sold. And believe or not there is still more. I have been looking for a book written this well that is an action and a romance book equally. This book and series are without question the books that I have been looking for. The narrator did an incredible job on this audiobook. I am picky about narration but is was not monotone it had emotion and action highs and lows. The flow was steady and great. He had different voices for each character. These are the most important points for me and he did great on each. He made the story very enjoyable to listen to as well as knowing what was going on throughout the story. If you want a fantastically written book that is full of action and romance than I absolutely recommend this book to you as a must read.

As these men navigate their life together the shit is getting really deep with Jarrett's past, but I absolutely love the bond that is continuing to develop makes it all worth it. throw in a monster alligator and things that go boom and I'm not sure this book could get better.

I was skeptical when I started the series but now I'm addicted.

I love coming back to Thayne and Jarrett! Everytime I read Patricia Logan's book i just can't stop and Thayne and Jarrett are just characters that I love. Then if course Michael Pauley doing the narration just makes in better. He just bring so much more to a story that my own mind can never bring up. Just another amazing listen!
