I've been looking for something similar to listen to since finishing the Fallen Crest series for the third time in a year and I found it in Pepper Jones. This is my first book by Ali Dean and I truly enjoyed it! The characters felt like friends and I was thoroughly engrossed in their life and problems. I can't wait to move on to book 2.

I have to say though, Jace made me want to smack him pretty much throughout the entire book. I know Pepper just wanted to be there for him but I don't know if I could have forgiven him so easily.

And then there's Bunny. Everyone needs a grandmother like Bunny.

The narrator does a great job. this is my first book with her and hopefully won't be my last.

I requested this book because of the narrator and I was not disappointed. I really enjoyed it and look forward to listening to the next book. I received a review copy at my request and voluntarily reviewed.

Good story, great narration.

It was great, she portrayed the characters how I imagined them. The only thing I would have changed was some of the excitement levels at the different points where Pepper won the races or when some exciting parts happened. It really helped to have the audible of the book, helped me picture the scenes that I only thought of. It felt like I was there.

I love a good friend to lovers story and this guy the bill. I enjoyed how well the characters were developed and grew to love them as much as I did the main characters.

Liked this a lot! Great narration. Good intro to characters. A little mystery, high school angst and issues, friends to more, suspense, you name it. A good YA+ book - looking forward to listening to the rest of the series!

I was given this book in exchange to write a review.
I love this story. I first met Pepper Jones back in 2014. I was asked if I wanted to listen to the audiobook. I’ve never listened to an audiobook before and since this is one of my favorite books I took the chance.
I love the story. But!! It honestly took me 3-4 chapters to feel like the narrator fit with the book. But maybe it was just me. After about chapter 4, I actually started to like her. At least for Pepper and Bunny’s voice.
I don’t know what but her doing the guys’ just wasn’t the best for me.
But like I said this was my first audiobook, so maybe it is just me because I’m new to this.
Listen for yourself. The story alone is well worth it.

I love this narrator she does a great job bringing the characters to life! This is a great start to a fun series! I love the characters in this book. This book keeps you hooked on the story! It makes you laugh, swoon, scream, and smile!

Ali Dean is a master at developing and managing the love triangle where you just love both of the guys and can completely understand the struggle to choose. I can’t wait to move on to the other books!

I don't usually read a lot of YA books but this one was a lot of fun. Pepper and Jace have been best friends since childhood but things get weird when Pepper starts noticing Jace and his hot body and his playboy ways. Things amp up a notch when the new boy in town takes an interest in Pepper who Jace has declared off limits to the other boys in school. Pepped Up intertwines elements of a love triangle and friends to lovers elements portraying Pepper's emotions and confusion well. I started listening to this with the intention of stopping when I was finished with what I was working on and ended up binging it instead.

I received this audiobook for free from Audiobook Obsession. This is my honest and voluntary review.
