Acerca de esta escucha

The cover itself shouts out, “This ain’t your Grandma’s poetry book.” No, it is not. Not by a long shot.It was written by two certified common guys for other common folks. The poems deal with the issues, stresses and pleasures of daily living. Part 1 is filled with “Patriotic Poems.” Part 2, “Inspirational & Religious Poems.” Part 3, “Poems of the Genus Cowboicus Poeticus,” which being interpreted means “Cowboy Poetry.” Part 4, “Americana, Floridianna & Such.” Part 5, “Fun Poems with Few Redeeming Virtues.” Part 6, “Odds and Ends and Such,” has Stan’s bio, Don’s bio, and info on some of Stan’s other books.Long-time friends, Stan Paregien and Don Betts, are just a wee bit different themselves. Don is thoughtful, reflective and mild mannered and Stan is . . . uh . . . different. Don likes opera and arias and cello solos, while Stan grooves on cowboy and bluegrass music. Stan grew up often going to the beaches near Ventura, Calif. Don grew up playing “Tarzan” on Longboat Key, Florida and had Sarasota Bay on the east of him and the Gulf on the right. These men put their friendship to the test by working on a book together. The good news is they are still mighty good friends. And they believe this little book turned out pretty dadburned good, both for reading enjoyment and for swatting flies. One perceptive reader of the manuscript predicted the book will be nominated for that famous Wulitzer Prize for Literatour. Hmmm. Literatura y Ficción
