This was very suspenseful from when Sloan went through the worst any 13 year old could ever imagine,

20 years later Sloan met the woman she fell in love. The tragedy that Sloan and Regan went through was such that it almost brought me to tears.

The book had everything that made it such a great book. Well done!

This is the first that I’ve heard of this author but I really liked the romance/suspense storyline. Lots of twists and turns so be prepared.

I understand what the author was trying to do by rushing through the first part of the story and others, however the timeline jumping made it feel like there were chunks of the book missing. I wanted more time to connect with the characters.

Once I got through that however it was very engaging somewhat realistic story, however the pacing issues didn't fully resolve themselves. That said I'm glad I found this author and series and will dive in to more.

Also for those dealing with Trauma perhaps puck a lighter book or wait til the good days return as I did to continue.

Great suspense story with lots of depth and good story arc. Timeline was a little rushed but proved the necessary snapshots and background information for the overall motivation, emotion, and character development throughout the story. Ready for Book #2! Glad I found this new author! Love the fresh action take on sapphic romance!

I honestly really did enjoy listening to this story especially since Lori was narrating. She can tell a story! I honestly thought it was a little darker than I imagined, I was happy there wasn't a scandal but I thought the relationship was a bit rushed considering what had happened. I'm willing to continue the series.

I loved the overall story. The story in the beginning was a bit rushed. I feel like it should have given a bit more on the background. but overall it was good.

When I started this book, I had no idea it would make me cry. More than once. It just tugs at your heart strings. Nothing you can do but go with it.
