I loved the narrators. The male narrator did an excellent job of sounding like a complete A$$hole and you could really see him in your mind being a man set out to seek revenge using an innocent woman to do it. Lots of angst, loved it. Can’t wait to read the second book.

Loved the story, the characters (even the secondary ones-can't wait for their stories) and the narration was excellent! and the spicy scenes were .. you'll just have to give it a listen.

I finally got around to starting this trilogy. I listened in Audible Plus, but it is leaving soon, so I’m in a race to get it done!

Book 1 sets the scene nicely. There is revenge in the cards, and Mason is ready to make Charlotte pay for her father’s actions.

With a backdrop of real estate dealings and the billionaire lifestyle, we are treated to this enemies chemistry and how both of them are just starting to like their interactions and are starting to crave them. Even though they think they shouldn’t.

Vivienne is a new-to-me narrator, and I enjoyed her performance. She portrays the “innocent” Charlotte well, bringing a youthful quality to her narration. Patrick does arseh0le billionaire so well. He is angry and dominating, and it just works.

This is a push-pull power play with a side of degred@tion kink. And this book will edge you!

The story keeps you on the edge of your seat. She introduces the characters by using the right adjectives to bring them to life. It was a nice surprise to see Leo Moretti and Haley Constantine Moretti make an appearance! Can’t wait to start the next episode!

Why does the male sound like a dirty old man. I cannot get past it. The female is okay but nothing special.

Not HEA

This story is extremely dark - more so than a lot of Mafia stories. The MMC is intent on revenge at the expense of the man’s daughter. He doesn’t lighten up at all during this book. There are two more books after this one and I suspect his character will progress as the story does. The daughter’s world continues to crack apart during the book - and that doesn’t let up either.

This book is one thing after another going wrong for the FMC and not a single thing resolves. Looking ahead I don’t think anything good will happen to the FMC until book 3 - just my prediction.

Overall this was too dark for me. I won’t be going on in the series.

The narrators did a wonderful job though, and the writing and dialogue are excellent.
