More references than most on religious faith. Otherwise, a great, easy, sweet read. The narrator is a little whinny and weak sounding to me. This character wasn’t that weak so the voice didn’t match exactly.

I wish this story told us what Elec said to Chelsey when he arrived back to CA. I loved this story and how Chelsey found her HEA. I adored the double d’s. These are wonderful, fun stories.

I loved this book! The storyline was great. There were times in the book that made me laugh. I enjoyed this book so much because it really made you feel like you were one of the characters trying to get to know someone you were interested in.we’ve all been there in life falling for someone and questioning why. The amount of excitement and heartache that goes along with it. It had some great erotic scenes, but this book was mostly the story of two people getting to know each other.

I love Penelope’s books. Always entertaining and keeps a great flow. Would highly recommend. Erin Mallon did a great job as usual with narrating both female/male voices.

Another Great Book

Damien & Chelsea: triggers- heart conditions, loss and grief. It all starts with extremely loud barking dogs. Chelsea is sick of the dogs that are constantly barking next door and her broody neighbor who's their owner. Turns out they share a wall and he can hear everything, including her therapy sessions. I enjoyed this book. It really took me through all the emotions as Chelsea learns to deal with a broody neighbor and recovering from a cheating ex. This is an enemies to lovers romance, though it's very slow. But you get so invested in the buildup of the relationship that you won't care. This was beautiful written.

I stumbled upon this book a few years ago, and it instantly became a cherished favorite of mine. Penelope Ward's wild plot twists have the potential to break my chicken heart. In this particular story, the level of angst is relatively low, but the angst that does arise is exceptionally well-done. Damien and Chelsea are endearing characters who effortlessly made me laugh and shed a few tears. I felt fully immersed in their love story, experiencing every moment alongside them.

To top it off, the audiobook version of this novel was brilliantly narrated by Erin Mallon, who happens to be one of my favorite narrators. Erin Mallon, in my opinion, can do no wrong. She is a true pro in her craft, and her voice is an absolute delight to listen to. Erin’s exceptional narration brought these characters to life in the most authentic way.

Overall, this novel will take you on an emotional roller coaster, leaving you cheering for the ultimate HEA for the MCs. If you're a fan of friends-to-lovers stories, this is one story you definitely won't want to miss out on.

This book was amazing, and I am a long time fan. I had no idea this book was linked 3 degrees to a character in another of Penelope’s that I loved. Anyway; another great book!!!

Female narrator was the worst I’ve had heard. The most annoying cadence ever. The story was just boring. It didn’t build like it was meant to. They just fall in love for no reason. I didn’t feel it.
