Acerca de esta escucha

A quiet English village is plagued by a fiendish serial killer in Queen of Mystery Agatha Christie's classic thriller, Murder is Easy.

Luke Fitzwilliam does not believe Miss Pinkerton's wild allegation that a multiple murderer is at work in the quiet English village of Wychwood and that her local doctor is next in line.

But within hours, Miss Pinkerton has been killed in a hit-and-run car accident. Mere coincidence? Luke is inclined to think so - until he reads in the Times of the unexpected demise of Wychwood's Dr. Humbleby....

This was an excellent performance of a classic! In my opinion, it remained true to Christie’s storyline, using the performance to highlight the genius that was her understanding of people and how they related to each other at that time. Thank you to Audible for offering it at the realistic price of $5.99 so we can all enjoy this wonderful rendition of a classic!

I honestly figured out “who did it” before the end. I’m usually surprised at the end if her books.

This seems different than the usual Agatha Christie book I thoroughly enjoyed it. I’ve read everything she ever wrote now.

This is my first Agatha Christie that's not a Poirot/Marple and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it! Recommended for anyone looking for a crime solver with good, clean fun.

Thoroughly enjoyed!

I'd read this before, but I thoroughly enjoyed this audio version. Great story to read in fall time. And I love Superintendent Battle.

I enjoyed the sense of the English countryside in the time between the Wars. No one can make you feel the time and space like Agatha Christy.

Excellent period piece

story and narration

This narrator makes Agatha Christie sound new again. She’s particularly excellent with dialogue. Not only are the characters’ voices distinct from one another, but the timing is spot on. From the first conversation in the book, she invests dialogue with a freshness that makes it sound modern and relevant.

This is a stand-alone novel, with lots of twists and turns, misdirection, and a creeping sort of dread as the reader wonders if the characters will catch on in time.

The crimes are wicked, the psychology is twisted. This is Agatha Christie at her best.

Excellent narration of this twisty story
