For a man like Merc, his reputation has always preceded him. Known for his allegiance to the criminal underworld as a protector, the gangster only shows love to his family… and his son and the woman who birthed him are at the top of that list. When Merc decides to take one last job before retiring, he doesn’t think it will include protecting a woman he’s been trying to avoid but can’t seem to get rid of. A woman who softens him and brings out the lover he’s kept hidden over the years.

For a woman like Neo, it only takes one lesson for her to learn. A bad experience with a man who has a child closes her heart off to dating men with children. It seems fate has other plans… plans that bring her and Merc together three times before they begin to question if they are meant to be.

With a dangerous dealer on the loose, Neo is forced to seek asylum outside of her home and under Merc’s protection. Will he prove to be a safe space for her heart romantically as well, or will he save her life and heart for her to give to someone else?

I loved me some Merc!! of course the narration with Winston James was perfect as always, the female narrator was good except her male voice was not so great but I got thru it!! still loved the story!!!🔥🔥❤️❤️ b love did it again with this one!!

Narrators phenomenal job!! Merc stood on business. I love the he has for his family. Merc take care of what's his. Neo was a diamond. I love how the author brought a spiritual perspective in the story.That had me. Ms.B.love you are a gifted and talented author I look forward to listening to your books. And thank you for doing audio this helps me in so many ways.

As the series continues another fearless character is added and Merc is savior to a beautiful lady with layers and stories of their own. Use the credit it’s worth it

Just enough drama without overkill made this a cute love story. Ofc I love my book bae WJ n the female was good but her male voice left a lot to be desired lol! You know a story is good when there’s a flaw that u barely notice bc everything else is so good!

You are the MAN. The book was written beautifully. It wasn’t what I anticipated but surprisingly good. I enjoyed it. Awesome job by the narrators and author of course. Thank you 😊

Mercury was everything special and Neo lost her mind staying with her ex as long as she did with the blatant disrespect and foolishness. I can imagine that cabin!

Too many good books ruined using Lacy for narrating. The story was nice and could have been wonderful with a better female narrator. Male narrator allowed me to tolerate the story through the female parts.
