Centuries ago, a never-before-seen group of heroes gathered as the Avengers of their ancient era to fight the Zodiac, foes who wielded unimaginable arcane energies channeled through a mysterious Key. The resulting battle devastated vast swaths of the planet. The Key was lost, and the Zodiac went into hiding, influencing world events from the shadows, waiting for the stars to align to usher in their return.

When strange beings exhibiting the traits of the 12 astrological signs appear in the 21st century, the Avengers again answer the call to assemble. But when this modern team of heroes is forced to divide their efforts, each encounter leads to their opponents gaining strength. Once again, the hunt is on for the Extinction Key...and if the Avengers don't find it, our world will be lost.

This is a prequel to the Marvel's Avengers video game released in 2020. I enjoyed it. it's a pretty good story. A character that is not yet in the game plays a big role in the story. If you are a fan of the game, you will notice lots of references to the game universe. I thought that the narrator was awesome. He gives Thor and Hulk a very distinct voice. If the character has an accent, he reads it that way. I highly recommend this book to Avengers fans and especially to those that play the game.

The plot was interesting, and narrative was performed well. It was not as action packed as I hoped, and a little too much romance for me. Overall I enjoyed listening to it.

While lacking a full cast the narrator did a great job on this one, sadly thats about as good as it gets. Prequel to the Avengers video game that is currently available, so there is that too I guess. Essentially the Avengers battle the Zodiac Signs. Its pretty mush a trash story.
