Difficult when listening because I couldn’t remember which character was speaking. Other than that it was pretty good. I liked the female lead. Didn’t like all the drugs everyone did, but I get it. They are in the rock world.

I totally held off on reading this duet until the audiobook came out and I am sooooo glad I did! Jillian West SLAYED this book so hard & the narrators were perfection! I have two new favorite narrators to watch for on other audiobooks!
Good golly miss Molly that last scene just ripped my heart out & hearing from Callan made it all the better/worse! I can’t wait for part 2!

Left In Ruins is book one in the Ruined Records series by Jillian West. We meet Lyric, a talented musician, who is the daughter of talented musicians. She has had a hard, lots of trauma in her life. I love the guys. They just love Lyric. Theres so much to unpack in this story. Love it. Great narration.

This story reminds me of a soap opera with mild drama. It seemed a bit too long with a lot of fluff. Also, because this story is about the music world there was drug use and mild over the top behavior. I was disappointed that the sweet female character used drugs. The writing was great and the narrators totally nailed it. Happy listening❤️

The narrators brought my fave characters to life so perfectly! Absolutely loved this audio. If you like omegaverse, rockstar romance and why choose group activities this is for you!

This is a little bit different from the other Jillian West books I have written. Usually they are lighter and this one is definitely more gritty. Lyric has had a tragic loss in her life. With that and having been left from people she trusted she is more guarded. She finds a boyfriend in “Saint” and really cares about him. But then she runs.
I love Jillian West’s writting. I know that if I pick up anything by here it will be a highly rated read. I love all her omegaverse books and only have 2 more left that I haven’t read which they will all be read by tomorrow!
I was lucky enough to experience this one by Audiobook. I really enjoyed the narrators and reading along with them while I was able to. The narrators were easy to listen to and were easily understood even at higher rates of speed. I really enjoyed it and can’t wait to have Jillian turn more of her books into audiobooks!

The Ruined Records Duet is one of my favorite omegaverse stories. Simultaneously spicy and riddled with angst and heartbreak, it pulls you in and keeps you wanting more. Part One, Left in Ruins, sets the stage: the Daughter of Rock, the heartbroken and flailing Lyric, meets and is saved by a band healing from their own loss.

It’s a medium-fast burn romance that reaches inferno heat levels in Part Two. We are gifted with MF and MFM scenes in this book, including first-time knotting.

Narration Review:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Vanessa Moyen and Michael Gallagher gave us an outstanding dual narration of Left in Ruins.

Vanessa always impresses me with her range of voices. Her Lyric was performed exactly as I heard her in my head while reading the story, and her Saint was to die for. She brings her characters to life and infuses each with a unique voice.

Michael’s voice is NSFW – he performed Lachlan with a sexy, panty-soaking tone that only enhanced his already dirty mouth. His scenes were hot on the page, only enhanced through Michael’s performance. The other men were treated with the same care.

This is a wonderful performance of one of my favorite omegaverse duets, and I highly recommend it. Both as a ‘reread’ and to first-time listeners. I look forward to the second half of the duet.
