This is written to my beloved father, son, and Holy Spirit, who spoke to me and said, "How do I love you Barbara, let me count the ways." May your holy love continue to overwhelm me. I dedicate this book to Glenn W. Moore, my "forever Moore," one-in- a-million husband and our most amazing daughter Kaitlin.
I found out, after I moved to Colorado, that the sun shines over 310 days a year. It was the first time, in 1971, I had ever lived through a winter with so much sunshine gleaming on the Rocky Mountains, snowcapped and smiling. I still love that song by John Denver, "Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy." Sunshine does make me happy. I love being outside and I love playing in the dirt. I used to get paid one penny for each weed I picked when I was little. It was amazing how big the flowers looked with all the weeds gone. They could get more sun with the weeds gone. I guess my life is kind of like one of those daisies, or sunflowers, freed from weeds.
"He loves me, he loves me not. He loves me, he loves me not." A daisy, and the daisy poem children repeat, should not really represent heaven, but can represent our earth.
I have felt like the "daisy woman" during different seasons of my life with God. How about you?
