Wow what a fascinating storyline. Absolutely loved listening to it unfold. Couldn’t wait to see how it all came together. However the ending was much to abrupt. The romance was very much secondary, so that was a bit disappointing.

interesting story I figured it out but I didn't see sisters involvement until later. but I wonder if Shannon called home her mom knew where she was and what happened and let her stay gone... bad mom didn't fight for her daughter because of who her family was.
grandmother beating Shannon because she liked her status.
the messed up lader of the church sister and at the end I wanted them to tell the smug old lady your grandaughters are responsible for Shannon's death prove they admitted their grandfather raped them and he had a child out of wedlock and puts knows it all. that would have been a good ending. or if there was a follow up

Why do I need to know she is going in her pocket for the phone or that there are newspaper stands. and the use of god in swear words to much for me. Narrators voice was nice. But I just couldn’t with to much detail.
