Knights of the Dragon by A. J. Gallant begins with an action-packed battle scene. King Chromos of the Yurrosy is a diabolical tyrant who enjoys seeing bloodshed and conquering every kingdom in his sight. King Darius of Leeander is vulnerable to Chromos's vicious attacks. Chromos has dedicated warriors and spelled dragons to fight on his behalf. Sadly, Adorok, the wizard responsible for safeguarding Leeander's safety, is old and failing. Adorok's protective shield is not going to defend Leeander forever. This fact prompts Princess Alexa, Darius's daughter, and other brave knights to protect the kingdom and embark on a quest to locate a new wizard capable of fortifying Leeander. Meanwhile, Prince Marcus, Darius's son, begins to exhibit latent magical powers and forms a close bond with Ryxa, a devoted dragon. Are Marcus, Alexa, their dragons, and brave knights strong enough to secure Leeander's future survival?
A. J. Gallant's Knights of the Dragon is an exciting coming-of-age fantasy that merges action, adventure, humor, unforgettable characters, and their compelling interactions, along with unexpected plot twists. It is set in an intriguing medieval world that pits kings against each other, their wizards, knights, and dragons. But under the right conditions, dragons and their human counterparts can collaborate to restore order in a world governed by chaos and brutality. Gallant does an exceptional job of shaping the characters without compromising the pacing or action sequences. The author paints an immersive picture of the world using descriptive prose. Readers will form a clear mental image of each character, scene, conflict, and captivating setting. The humorous moments add contrast and warmth to the tension and action that unfold. This book is perfect for fans of Dragonheart and The Lord of the Rings novels and movies.
