I like that there is an AI book reader, because otherwise I would not read this.
The AI does not get the English language quite right. it can be confusing.

I agree with other reviews that the AI narration is awkward and distracting at times, and is not a substitute for a decent reader.

While the story line and plot were good, they were lost in unnecessary details…long conversations that had nothing to do with the plot, tediously long and overly detailed descriptions of animals killing other animals, and back stories that went on way too long.

The characters were just not likable…unrealistically strong, fit, stubborn to the point of stupidity, offensive, tortured by past events, and frankly dumb. It was hard not to wish the monsters would win.

However this book totally bogged down when it got to the sex scenes…they were tediously long, laughably unrealistic, and disgusting. I ended up skipping over them. Why did the author feel the need to put in such nonsense?? They had nothing to do with the story line and seemed amateurish. The constant references to the sexual tension between inhuman characters was a constant distraction.

I finally gave up on the book and returned it. The story got lost and it just got too tiring waiting for it to progress.

The basic storyline was pretty good, but yeah.
This person has no idea how to write things. A decent female character and the intimate scenes are super awkward and i'm very poorly written
