It was what I expected. The book was a quick and general overview of the myths and stories. I enjoyed it.

Short and general storytelling

I've always been enthralled by Japanese mythology to the point of knowing basics. But was absolutely educational.
By far my favorites were Susano, the peach boy, and the 1-inch man.

Amazing.

I’m half Japanese growing up my mom would tell me these stories and being so young I thought she just made them up listening to this makes me reminisce about those times where she would tell us those stories

A reminder of my childhood

Short, but the narration was less than great making the whole thing slightly painful

short but rough to listen to

It’s a great introduction to Japanese stories, but doesn’t go in deeper into some stories. Also the narrator is not bad but it’s not my favorite. I also wish they would’ve been a Japanese speaker to get better pronunciation of the Japanese names. I enjoyed it overall though

Shorter than I wanted but good

Multiple stories they dont go in depth on and give notes on what it was about. Why write the book if you’re not going to give a detailed rendition of all the stories you can find?

Too short
