Ruth "Ruthless" Harper is on the verge of becoming managing partner at her all-male consulting firm and she won't let anything stand in her way. That includes men, relationships, and that dreaded F word, feelings - distractions she eliminated long ago.

After the worst day ever (a near-death experience and a public wedgie, for starters), Ruth realizes she doesn't want to live and die alone. The story was fun. The narrator is good for what she does, but she is not a man, and therefore, even though it wasn’t her decision, she shouldn’t be doing the duet portion of the narration. She’s really great narrator, but the duet narration should be done by mail in my opinion, the story is great. The author has some funny things in there hits a lot of amazing points and captures a great love story. The only thing that takes away from this audiobook is the fact that the narrator is male and female for the male chapters. There are only a few but to me it’s distracting, it was the point of view of only the woman.

The only reason the performance doesn’t get 5 stars is not because of the narrator

Fun easy to listen to

Started out with a cute story. But it just quickly turned into a cliche, predictable story. I didn’t like the main character at first. Being a strong woman doesn’t mean you have to belittle and be rude to every man you meet. The dates started funny but the characters were too exaggerated, so that got tiring. The epilogue wrapped everything up that could have actually been written as part of the story. The characters were not believable to me.

A fun listen with well developed characters with a lovely plot and funny twist that left me laughing out loud. Thoroughly enjoyed this!

This book had me laughing so much. I truly enjoyed the story. The characters in the book had get dialog and keep good pase. I don't like the AI reading but that aside I would listen to this book again.

Funny and sweet

What a wonderful treat this story is! I loved every word. Funny, believable, romantic, HEA. And while the narrator herself isn’t horrible (meaning I could still listen with enjoyment), it’s the first time I wished for dual narration. The narrator doesn’t even try to read Nick’s story in a male voice, so it’s a little disconcerting and confusing when you remember she’s reading his chapters. Fortunately, those were few and far between. I may read the story next time, instead of listening, but either choice is rewarding.

Y’all, he was soo sweet!! Really down to earth, honest, realistic, respectful guy! He was always on her side even when he disagreed with what she was doing or how she was acting, treating him, others. He was humble and kind and honestly I loved it. He was NORMAL!!

Also, overall, even though I usually listen to duel narration books, It worked that it was just Her. One narrator.

HEA ending and a sweet epilogue. I loved that it wasn’t too long or drawn out. The momentum was great and all the dates she went on before were so funny! Yeah, some of the guys were overly done, but I was laughing so hard sometimes.

I recommend this book! I loved the growth and character development. It is great to just read a sweet book sometimes, and I loved that it was older people! It was refreshing. And it was still young in spirit!

I loved this book! It was good clean fun. I found myself laughing out loud more than a few times. I am putting it on my top favorites.

I absolutely love this book. It gave me many laughs, which is something that I. Desperately needed it's good medicine. I'd like to read more by this author.
