Observe your manager! Study them!
What do they want?! Ask!
Areas that Matter to Managers
•Priorities: what they are expected to accomplish (results) and what they care about personally (wins)?
•Metrics: How they evaluate success (yours and theirs) and what their most important quantitative goals are?
•Communication: Mode, Manner and Frequency and whether you communicate to others directly or through them?
•Decision Making: Whom makes what decisions and how collaborative it should be?
•Disagreement: Whether, Where and How to disagree?
*However, I would suggest getting the hard copy as the worksheets are not available in pdf here or online. Also not a fan of the racial bias example used, seemed a bit cheesy and melodramatic. Would rather stick to hard work, skills and methodical strategies.
Very Practical & Insightful, Straight to the point, great narrator.
