Excellent story. The time draws near. Do not follow the false teachers. They will have the reward now. Seek the Lord trust the Holy Spirit to tell you what’s right from what’s wrong.

I wanted to just say "Wow!!" because of the heavy duty impact of this story so beautifully narrated by Matthew Cross, but that's definitely not enough said about this hard hitting reality check for believers. Higgins gives a bloody nose and a swift kick in the pants to those who teach the bogus "Prosperity Gospel", hoping to help them change to a more correct direction. Excellent!!

However, when Higgins says there will be no thousand year millennium with a battle with the Enemy of our souls after that, because he can't find it in Scripture..the answer is Revelation 20:4-10 with a backup to that in Isaiah ch65-66.

Charmaine DeShields, a beautiful female Black Real Estate agent and Underground Church Chinese Pastor Mark Lau are the main characters. Charmaine hopes to draw Lau into her congregation at the "Blessed and Highly Favored Full Gospel Church" under the guidance of false prophet pastors Julian and Imogene Martine. Huge Kudos on Charmaine!!😁 No version of the "full gospel" is ever preached there. Imogene calls Lau up during their broadcasted service, laying hands on him to prophesy something she did not get from YHWH, completely failing Ezek13:3-4 and the prophet's test YHWH declared must be passed in Deut13. However it's also clear that these Prosperity Preachers have no use for anything in the Torah beyond Malachi3 used to promote tithing. Lau rebukes Imogene openly using Scripture and the race begins.

Charmaine sells a house for Lau, then with her bestie Meredith Geiger, goes to Shanghai, China to participate in some underground services and shopping. After receiving concerning messages from a whiny Meredith, Charmaine's boyfriend Rodney goes to the Martine pastors, worried she is being conned into the nefarious clutches of a cult. Ignoring what he knows about the persecution of Christians in China and worried about losing his Cash cow, Julian goes to China taking his pregnant, shopaholic wife with him. The final scenes on the airplane on which they are returning home are beautifully written and quite poignant! Sadly, even in extremis Julian cannot repent of attempting to "Command YHWH" in the arrogant name it and claim it way he's been teaching.

It's well worth the listen and I'd like to see a sequel following Pastor Lau's church pre&post Charmaine.

Hard Hitting Reality Check for Believers

I could not stop listening to it. it got me thinking about my relationship with God.
if I had to make a choice denying God are ending up in prison or doing Church underground would I be able to do that. how strong of a Christian am I. I can't wait to read more books of this author. the audio was really good too the man who read it did an awesome job. I highly recommend this book and it would change your life for eternal

I always enjoy books by Patrick Higgins, and this one was enjoyed as well! I learned a few Bible verses while listening and enjoyed the storyline and characters.

I loved this book. It taught me to reach out to God and ask for his forgiveness and control of my life. Amen

There is always hope

When I read the preface, For your consideration, I had to stop and realize the truth in what Mr. Higgins wrote. It was a mirror of my own thoughts and to see them in writing, was Amazing. Then I got to the section One more Thing, and Oh My Goodness, he was spot on!

I read this book from cover to cover twice, got the audiobook and currently I am up to the third time listening to it. I had to message Mr. Higgins because this book impacted me so much, I had been questioning my salvation, because of my lack of fully realizing what God did for me.

In my head these words kept churning, despite God KNOWING my sins and all of my struggles with various sins, he still loved me enough to allow me to walk this world, to put his breath of life within me, and STILL sent his son to die on the cross for me!

How anyone can realize this and not fall prostrate before the Lord and Beg his forgiveness I will never know nor understand. What I do know for certainty is that I too am a wretched sinner saved by grace. This book has me running to my Bible to glean all of God's truths.

Once you start reading or listening you won't stop
