This is a must listen for anyone who enjoys hiking!! Like other reviews have said, you're sad when the book is over because you keep wanting more and more! I loved listening to this book while hiking! It was like he was hiking with us and sharing his adventures the whole time. Great book!

This was a great read...enjoyed it while hiking the Greenbrier Trail in WV. Very entertaining, funny and enjoyable!

The stories were funny, riveting, and informative. However, sometimes they were hard to follow because the narration was so monotonous. Might want to hire a professional for the next audio book reading.

I am gearing up to hike the JMT in 2019 and was compelled to read about Mr. Grinter's experiences. I enjoyed the book and found myself laughing out loud when he mentions how the Swiss hiker needed to shave his taint to prevent chaffing on the CDT. Good read would recommend.

Fantastic hiking stories! It’s like sitting around the campfire with Lawton. He even had me laughing out loud. If you’re a hiker, you will love this book.

Excellent short stories covering all aspects of thru hiking. Very enjoyable for all hiking lovers, not just thru hikers. Future thru hikers could gain some valuable tips from this book.

Loved the stories. I was glad it wasn't just a "here's a play by play of my hike" book.

Also, very impressive that they got Hank Hill to narrate.
