Acerca de esta escucha
Convinced he has nothing left to live for, 54-year-old Steve Kranowicz treks into the New Hampshire woods with a handgun and bottle of vodka. After pulling the trigger, he’s visited by an omniscient representative of God, a Crow who offers Steve a new life in the time and conditions of his choosing. That choice is easy: going back to 1985 so he can try again with his high-school sweetheart Darcee French, a relationship that failed due to his youthful insecurities.
Steve returns as a 16-year-old in 1985 with everything he requested: the house next-door to the Frenches, all to himself; the car of his dreams; millions in cash; even the extra height he always wanted. But his teenage body retains a 54-year old’s cynical weariness, and his new life throws constant curves. Does Steve now have the resources and wisdom to be happy, or is it as futile as before? Can you ever really go home again, even when you’re delivered to its doorstep?

Historia
Onstage at a Las Vegas convention, Elo Ó hAllmhuráin, a worldfamous tech magnate, demonstrates a time machine, catapulting himself and journalist Dory Silver into the distant future. Stranded and desperate to get home to her dying partner, Dory is forced to re-examine the past. Time/Life is a love letter to science fiction rooted in a very real present of rising populism and the unintended consequences of technology. Above all, it is a powerful meditation on the nature of love itself.

Historia
Verity is tired of the D.C. grind. Starved for purpose, Verity jumps at an unimaginable opportunity offered by her brilliant roommate from college—pack up your life, move cross-country, and do meaningful work alongside your idol and recent time traveler from 1871, Ada Lovelace. Benevolent billionaire-funded Indra Group has invented time travel. The applications and implications are infinite, and the breakthroughs are coming fast; but when the money is flowing and the ethos is “can do,” will anyone bother to ask whether they should?

Historia
In a remote colony on Mars, physicists have used a particle accelerator to artificially create miniature black holes. By accident, two black holes orbiting each other with relativistic spins have opened up a portal to another universe. Engineers Masamune Hughes and Tom Hildebrandt build bigger and better machines to enable them to peek inside, and even cross the threshold themselves. What they find defies all description.

Historia
A novel that leaps across centuries past and future, as if different eras were separated by only a door. Lina and her father arrive at an enclave called The Sea, a staging post between migrations, with only a few possessions. In this mysterious and shape-shifting place, a building made of time, pasts and futures collide. Lina befriends her neighbors: Bento, a Jewish scholar in seventeenth-century Amsterdam; Blucher, a philosopher in 1930s Germany fleeing Nazi persecution; and Jupiter, a poet of Tang Dynasty China.

Doppelganger is a riveting futuristic thriller where artificial intelligence make reality so fractured it is nearly impossible to know what is true and what isn’t. It explores the clash between machines and human passion, evil, love, trust and time. Even after the last seconds you’ll wonder what is real and what isn’t.

Historia
#1 Amazon Political Fiction Bestseller The Very Last War plunges listeners into a gripping, relentless, and chillingly plausible tale of a near-future World War III. A pivotal election revives freedom and self-governance in America, sending shockwaves across the globe and rattling four rival powers—European socialists, Chinese communists, Islamic radicals, and avaricious Russian leaders. With dreams of world domination fading, they set aside differences and forge an alliance. Not to simply defeat America, but—with the help of a devastating new weapon—to erase it from the earth.

What would your conditions be?

I Abandon This Life is polished, emotionally layered, and full of thought-provoking questions about life, regret, and the paths we choose.
The premise is intriguing: What would you do if you could live your life over again? But the book doesn’t just dwell in that idea, it pushes it further, asking why we end up where we are and what truly matters when we try to set things right.
I liked that it didn’t explain everything. Some of the ambiguity left room to reflect and fill in the gaps, which made it stick with me longer. The moral at the heart of the book, and Steve’s journey through each version of his life gives the story real depth.
If you enjoy character-driven fiction with a metaphysical twist and a human core, this one is worth your time. Josh is hitting his stride, and I’m glad to be along for the ride.
